I can't be arsed to think of a relevant song reference

This entry might seem a little belated. Thinking about it, it is almost two weeks after I should have written it. But time is all how one perceives it, a meandering river that flows over both flat planes and surges down the most turbulent of rapids.

In Memoriam

It can all happen in a few seconds. The screech of tyres, the thump on the bumper, the stain of blood on the road; and there ends 6 years of an otherwise happy (and largely overfed) life.

Je suis retourné

That French was probably depressingly wrong, especially given what I got for GCSE. But it matters not; I never have to do a French class again.

Anyway, I have returned from the stem cell harvest.

Well, I've just had the last chemotherapy session for 6 weeks, so I guess it's time to update the blog. Various things to report really.

The Full Story

OK, so I've got this blog about Ewing's Sarcoma (amongst other stuff, but that's the main gist of it). You may be wondering several things, like

Who is this kid?

What's Ewing's Sarcoma?

Why should I care?

Well, I can't promise to answer these questions in a satisfactory manner, especially the last one, but I'll give it a shot.

Therefore, there's a new page on my site

Edit:Would help if I got the link right >_<

Available my arse

I like the ward I'm in in Southampton Hospital. Piam Brown, it's called. The staff are all friendly and nice; and while the ward could do with an expansion (i.e. more rooms - it's always completely full), it's generally a great place to have treatment (if you have to have treatment :P).

It's even got an education room, which has two computers and stuff. Internet access and all that. It even has a wireless network. "Great!" you may think, "all the patients and parents and people will be able to use the interweb!"

Unfortunately, it's not that simple.

A rant

Warning, swearing near the end.

As you all know, I have Ewing's Sarcoma (if you don't, then what the hell have you been reading whilst looking at this blog? :P; anyway, I shouldn't insult my readership). However, what you may not know is that I also have epilepsy.

They say lightning doesn't strike twice (the clichés are flowing thick and fast tonight) but in my case, it obviously has. And it's bloody annoying.

Maybe not so bad...

There is a saying: "Every cloud has a silver lining". Well, chemotherapy is a bit of a cumulonimbus as far as clouds go, but it is a cloud nevertheless, and is no exception to the rule.
