I can't be arsed to think of a relevant song reference

This entry might seem a little belated. Thinking about it, it is almost two weeks after I should have written it. But time is all how one perceives it, a meandering river that flows over both flat planes and surges down the most turbulent of rapids.

...in the paper. What, I like Elliott Smith lyric references, they make me sound intelligent. Anyway, 'twas 34 days since I last posted, and since I figured you'd all be getting drunk and merry yesterday, I thought I'd post today.

Downtime

I apologise for the inexplicable downtime that my blog has had over the past few days. It really is a mystery as to why it happened, and indeed why it appears to have fixed itself.

Pancreatitis. DO NOT WANT.

I was set free from my hospital prison on Monday. After an 11 day stint with pancreatitis. And I can now tell you, from first hand experience, that you do not want pancreatitis. No really. It isn't fun.

Instant Messaging - What It All Really Means

As you probably won't have noticed (as I only put it up last night), I have a new page on the site, where I have "published" the essay I wrote on instant messaging last year. Having been rejected by Nature and several other such scientific journals, I thought I would publish it on the only place I can for peer review. Happy reading.

Well, it's been the best part of 2 months since I last updated this blog. And just when you thought this thing was finally dead, here I am clogging up the internet again ;).

In Memoriam

It can all happen in a few seconds. The screech of tyres, the thump on the bumper, the stain of blood on the road; and there ends 6 years of an otherwise happy (and largely overfed) life.

...I've seen trouble all my days

I had a genuine dilemma when sitting down to write this blog post. I've experienced another kind of toilet since the last post, and that seemed to be effective last time; but I don't want to be accused of a toilet fetish, and to be honest, relying on the same introduction is a bit lame. Not to mention slightly nauseating.
